Subscribing to the Ausdispute email list

This mailing list sends messages to members about one a month, on average. Any member can use the list to send messages to any other member.

To join send an email to ausdispute-l@business.unisa.edu.au On the first line of the message, write subscribe ausdispute-l (that last letter is a lower-case L, not a capital I or number 1), then your email address, then your name. For example, if your name is Bob Agunyi and your email address is boba@somewhere.net.au, your email message would look like this:

subscribe ausdispute-l boba@somewhere.net.au Bob Agunyi

That's all. If your email is set up to automatically add a signature file, it's best to delete that. There's no need to put anything in the Subject section of the email heading. The Listserv software expects people's names to have two words. If you enter one or three words in the name section at the end, the software may not get your name right. However, the email address will still work.

After you have subscribed, you will get an email message welcoming you to the list. If you mistyped your email address, you will get no message. If you don't get a welcoming message within a few hours, try again.

To stop subscribing to the list, write unsubscribe instead of subscribe. For example

unsubscribe ausdispute-l boba@somewhere.net.au

You don't need to put your name when you unsubscribe, only your email address.

If you change your email address, you need to unsubscribe from the old address then subscribe to the new one. The software doesn't allow for changes of address.
